Drowning
“Ow!” I yelled, hitting my head on the top bunk as the bus hit a
bump. “I thought we just got new shocks put on this thing!”
“Sorry, baby.” Brian smiled. He sat down beside me and kissed my
forehead. “You ok?”
“Yeah, sure.” I smiled back. Brian always made me feel better. He had
been doing it for years.

Hi. I’m T.C.
Carter (no relation to Nick), and this is my story.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
I’ve known Brian since forever and a day. Believe it or not, he used to
be my babysitter back in Lexington. He used to pick me up from school in his
truck, which we dubbed “The Bleeding Banana”. Funny story. I’ll get into
that another time. Anyway… I learned a lot of things from Brian: how to ride a
horse, how to drive a four-wheeler, and how to love. But that fateful day in
April 1993 changed my life forever.
Well, I’m almost 22 now. It had been close to 10 years since Brian
left… then I found him. All right, fine. He found me. But anyway… my group,
Moon Run X, was assigned to the Boys’ record label. We’ve been touring with
them since 2002. Yup, same tour bus. Trust me, there are some things about them
that you just don’t want to know. LOL.
We’re on our way to make our final appearance on television. MTV’s
TRL will be the last place you see us… maybe forever. There were no rumors…
just the way we wanted it. When we tell the millions of fans today on live
television that the BSB and MRX are calling it quits… well, I don’t even
want to think about it.
“Hey, don’t worry. Be happy,” Brian grinned, placing two fingers
under my chin.
I punched him lightly in the arm. Deep down, I knew he felt the same as I
did. I could see it in his eyes.
